Every October half term, something magical (and a little spooky) happens across Cloverfields. Front gardens transform into scenes straight out of a Halloween movie — from friendly ghosts and glowing pumpkins to full-on haunted house displays.
It’s all part of the Thetford Pumpkin Trail, a much-loved local tradition that brings families together for a free, fun and frightfully creative adventure.
With a printed trail map in hand, families head out to explore the neighbourhood, searching for hidden letter clues among the decorations. Along the way, children (and quite a few parents!) get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up — witches, skeletons, superheroes and all.
But beyond the costumes and cobwebs, the Pumpkin Trail is about something even more special: community.
Neighbours come together to design their displays, families make memories, and the streets of Thetford are filled with laughter, excitement and the odd playful scare. It’s a celebration of local creativity and togetherness — and proof that the best kind of events are the ones we create for each other.
We’re proud to have supported the Thetford Pumpkin Trail for the past four years, helping this community-led event grow into a firm family favourite. Each year, we’re amazed by the imagination that goes into the displays and the joy it brings to everyone who takes part.
If you spotted our team out and about during the trail — chatting with families, collecting clues or admiring your decorations — thank you for making it another year to remember.
Here’s to more pumpkins, more smiles and more community magic next Halloween.
