How We Spread the Love in Thetford This Valentine’s Day
Last week we invited you to join us in spreading a little kindness across Thetford.
With Valentine’s Day and Random Acts of Kindness Day falling close together, it felt like the perfect opportunity to celebrate not just romance, but community.
So now we have a question for you.
How did you celebrate?
Did you surprise someone with a coffee? Leave a kind note? Support a local business? Or simply pause and make time for someone who needed it?
Because small gestures matter. And when they’re shared locally, they ripple further than we often realise.
Supporting the businesses that make Thetford special
Community has always been at the heart of what we do. We do not just sell and let homes here. We live here. We shop here. We meet friends here.
So this year, we decided to spread the love by supporting some of the fantastic independent businesses that make our town what it is.
Here is how we got involved.
Tall Orders Coffee Shop, King Street
We treated customers to a free hot drink with every meal purchased.
There is something quietly powerful about a warm drink shared in good company. It might seem simple, but those moments of conversation and connection are what local coffee shops are all about.
It was our small way of saying thank you to both the team at Tall Orders and the customers who support them week in, week out.
Grow Indoor Plants
We partnered with Grow Indoor Plants to offer customers a discount on their plant purchases.
Plants are long lasting reminders of thoughtful gestures. They brighten homes, lift moods and quite literally help things grow.
Supporting a business that brings life and greenery into so many Thetford homes felt like the perfect Valentine’s tie in.
The Black Horse Pub and Restaurant, Magdalen Street
For those enjoying a Valentine’s meal at The Black Horse, we treated every table to a glass of prosecco, or a soft drink alternative for drivers.
It was a small gesture, but one that added a little sparkle to the evening.
Valentine’s is often about grand gestures, but sometimes it is the unexpected touch that makes a night feel special.
More than a marketing moment
For us, this was never about a sales pitch.
It was about community.
Random Acts of Kindness Day reminds us that generosity does not need to be complicated or expensive. It just needs to be intentional.
Supporting local businesses, encouraging people to spend time together and adding small moments of joy to ordinary days is something we are proud to stand behind.
Because strong communities build strong property markets too. When people feel connected to where they live, they care more. They stay longer. They invest emotionally as well as financially.
And that benefits everyone.
Over to you
We would genuinely love to know how you marked Valentine’s Day or Random Acts of Kindness Day this year.
Did someone do something kind for you?
Did you pass on a little generosity of your own?
Drop us a message, comment on social media, or pop into the office and tell us your story.
Spreading the love does not have to stop in February.
From all of us at Location Location, thank you to the brilliant local businesses who partnered with us, and thank you to everyone in Thetford who continues to make this town such a special place to live.
Community first. Always.
